Pic a Day – January Summary

As January gives way to February, I’m amazed that I’ve managed to take a photo every day this month. It’s actually not an easy thing to do… a few times the photo has been taken shortly before midnight, but so far I’ve been honest with it!

This is my summary of January, 2009.

January 2009

You can browse the individual pictures starting on the 1st Jan or the 31st Jan.

Now for February….

Pic A Day – Jan 31st 2009

Monica doesn't like it cold This is my picture for 31st January, 2009…. a twelfth of the year done! (actually, a little over that).

I was perfectly comfortable, but Monica needed a hat, a buff and a coat.

This was inside, and the central heating was on.

She’s not ill. She just likes it a few degrees hotter than me.

I think it’s freakish.

You can see the whole of January in the summary collage, or go straight into February.

Pic A Day – Jan 29th 2009

Casio fx451 This is my Pic a Day for the 29th January, 2009.

It’s a Casio fx451, a superb calculator from the late 80s/early 90s.

It was perfect for me, it had the really useful fundamental constants (and no more), it have inbuilt unit conversion, it had clear and easy to use buttons.

The two ways this calculator could have been improved would have been to provide a way to change batteries and to update the logic (for 5 sin 30, you have to type 5 * 30 sin …)

No big deal.

I got a couple of these off ebay, and use them often – one at work, one at home.
